06 Oct Lamoille Canyon
Glacier-sculpted Lamoille Canyon is the largest valley in Elko County’s Ruby Mountains. Approximately 12 miles long, the canyon is only twenty minutes from Elko on Lamoille Canyon Road. The drive enters Nevada’s wettest mountain range, providing a sharp change from the surrounding area’s sparser desert scenery. The route’s steep ascent takes you into the Ruby Mountains Scenic Area.
